Safari tour explores Samburu, Shaba and Buffalo Springs game reserves in northern Kenya. The scenic drive to Samburu is via five distinct climatic sub-regions with views of local homesteads, coffee, tea, pineapple, and subsistence farming activities. Mount Kenya (Kenya’s highest mountain and national symbol) shall be seen. Tour is an opportunity to view unique wildlife species like Oryx, Gerenuk, Somali Ostrich, Grevy’s zebra, Reticulated giraffe and other wild animals peculiar to this semi-arid region. Accommodation is provided in the optional economy, comfort or luxury safari lodges and tented camps.
Pick up from Nairobi airport / Nairobi hotel. Proceed via the central highlands of Kenya with views of coffee, tea, sisal, pineapple, and subsistence farming activities. Day 2 Samburu (1B, 1L, 1D)
The day shall be spent with game viewing drives / relaxing interludes at the Samburu game reserve. Game viewing drives in this dry and scenic game reserve are concentrated along the banks of the Ewaso nyiro river. This is where most wildlife is found
Day 3 Samburu - Nairobi (1B)
Morning game viewing drives at the Samburu.. An exit game viewing drive shall follow. Depart Samburu for Nairobi with a lunch stop en-route. Arrive Nairobi in the late afternoon.
